On May 15th 2015, we lost Jasmine suddenly due to night fright. He was absolutely the sweetest, kindest budgie. His loss really shocked and depressed us. It’s taken a while for us to come to terms and type about it. Each time we try, it makes us so sad that we just haven’t had the heart to write anything. Jasmine was the runt of the litter, a budgie-head shorter with full sized wings. He was the fastest flyer we ever had. He was never a brave bird, but he showed us so much love. We’ll miss you Jasmine.
This was our first Easter in our new house and we even hosted my family. We gifted each other pretty Easter Baskets. Mine has a pink Clarisonic that I had been eyeing. Adams included the limited edition Majoras Mask New 3DS XL and the game. We got to enjoy the weekend with my family.
We got invited to write guest blog posts for Explore Georgia a few days ago. Now our first post about the Bird Fair is up on the site blog.exploregeorgia.org/atlantas-exotic-bird-fair/
How exciting! Even though we won’t be able to attend this bird fair since we will be visiting family in Augusta I hope this post makes it so that some new people attend who may not have heard about it before. We get so many goodies for our budgies at the fair and even got Cinderella there too!
This past weekend my little brother was one of the Columbia County Special Olympics representatives. He competed in Bowling and was even given the honor of reciting the oath before the event. After playing 3 highly competitive and exciting games he ended up winning the Gold! His highest scoring game was a 169(which is better than me most of the time lol).
