Valentines Dinner and some Walkers!

Valentines Dinner and some Walkers!

I know this is late but better late than never! Valentines Day has always been an easy going holiday for us. We refuse to subject ourselves to the crowds and eat out! Instead, we created our own tradition where we cook spaghetti carbonara together and serve it on glittery heart shaped plates.

While enjoying dinner, we watched one of our favorite shows: The Walking Dead. The show is filmed in our area, and we have even caught them filming earlier seasons next to where we live!

I got some red roses for Stefanie along with two Amiibos of her favorite Animal Crossing characters!

Lights of the South

Lights of the South

We lucked out and had a beautiful warm and rain free day while visiting family in Augusta, so my mom suggested we visit Lights of the South. The whole month had been pretty wet, however, so the mud was knee deep in some places! We couldn’t walk on the walking path, but we got to enjoy the lights on the hay ride. Even more luckily, they had a hay and wooden bench version. Since my dad is allergic to practically everything that grows now days, this really made it much easier for us. After riding twice, we explored the rest of the grounds. It was a really nice family outing for the Holidays!

Braves Game Part 2

Braves Game Part 2

This time, Adams father invited us and Adam’s uncle Bill to a weekday game. Since we had such a good time at the last game, we decided to go again. This time, the theme was “Zombie Night” and they put a ‘Walking Dead’ Zombie filter on each of the players photos. Many fans had dressed up and put on zombie makeup and were featured between innings. We had a great time and the fireworks display they had after the game was really well done.

Braves Stadium is beautiful. I still don’t know why they need another one in Smyrna.

Miracle League training camp and Braves Game

Miracle League training camp and Braves Game

Earlier this year, my younger brother was selected to take part in a training camp with the Atlanta Braves for the Miracle league. It was close to where I live so my parents stayed over at my home for the weekend. The Braves were even nice enough to give everyone in the family tickets to the game that night. It was the first Braves game that I had ever attended and they won! My brother had a great time at the training camp. He did amazing at each station. The players and the kids all seemed to have a fun time. The stadium seemed nice so I don’t know why they need to build another one close to where I live.

Meet Prince Charming!

Meet Prince Charming!

After Jasmine passed away, Cinderella had a hard time dealing with it. Her depression got so bad that she almost passed away. She got sick and refused to eat much. She lost about 20% of her already tiny body mass. While she did bond with us more, we knew she needed a friend.

On July 18th we went to the Atlanta Bird Fair and fell in love with this super sweet cuddly budgie. He is absolutely adorable and way too clueless to understand when Cinderella is being too pushy (which has actually softened Cinderella’s temperament). As soon as she felt she had competition for food, she gained all the weight back and now she is constantly full. They both get along great and Charming adores Cinderella and wants to be where ever Cinderella is. He also is such an explorer and will climb in areas that Cinderella and Jasmine would have been scared to look at. He absolutely loves hanging out on stuffed animals, which all my previous birds have been terrified of. He is so sweet, clueless at times, but so sweet.

Smokey Mountain Anniversary Trip

Smokey Mountain Anniversary Trip

For our 5 year wedding anniversary, we took a trip to Bryson NC. We got a great deal on staying at a Watershed Resort cabin. The cabin was wonderfully decorated and had a lot of fun extras! The town is adorable, although it shuts down really early. We went hiking and saw multiple waterfalls. We lucked out with the weather; it was suppose to rain the whole time but we got a break during the day. Not only is the city really cute and friendly but the police really go above and beyond. Our GPS wasn’t working and we couldn’t find the grocery store, and when I asked for directions the police instead drove us all the way to the store. Thanks to him we made it before it closed and got to cook in our cabin. I swear this trip we constantly kept getting turned around without our GPS, but we ended up finding really beautiful spots that made it worth it. We took the road to nowhere and it was absolutely gorgeous!

Protip: Download all the GPS maps on your phone before hand (no data signal), once we did that my phone worked so much better.
