Fall around us

Fall around us

We are lucky to live in such a unique area! We are a quick drive to Smyrna and Marietta’s town squares, the covered bridge area and multiple beautiful hiking and fishing spots. The leaves started turning their fall colors and the rain finally picked up, so we grabbed the camera and went to the covered bridge, park, and GB’s Lake. Apparently some ducklings hatched recently, so momma-bird was pretty territorial against the other ducks and geese in the park that day.

Kennesaw State Park Summer Hike

Kennesaw State Park Summer Hike

We hadn’t done much hiking this summer due to the heat, but decided one afternoon to try a different part of Kennesaw State Park (since it’s close by). Overall, it ended up being a pretty flat hike where we walked past lots of battlefields. We even saw a deer in part of the woods. LMFAO!

LMFAO!

Living in Atlanta it is so much easier to see groups live in concert. When we found out about LMFAO coming to Atlanta a few friends and I got together to buy tickets. Unfortunately Mike and Erica ended up sitting at the wrong spot when we took photos but we found them later. My favorite part had to be the show closer and SkyBlu came out with an Elephant speedo. It was so much fun!

Since Adam was scheduled to work that night my friend Amanda came and we had a girls night out! We enjoyed the show and then ate out afterwards. It was a great experience watching one of our favorite shows on the big screen!

Visit to the High

Visit to the High

The High Museum was having a special ‘Pay as you want’ day so we decided to take advantage. Unfortunately that doesn’t include parking but still it was great to finally visit this museum after living in Atlanta for so long. Along with there normal exhibit they had a Picasso to Warhol special exhibit. Most of which was from the MOMA which we saw on our honeymoon but they also had art we hadn’t seen as well. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time walking around looking at all kinds of different art!
